I am fifteen chapters in. I have five more to go before I’m finished. I am averaging 3k words per day. Chapters average 3k words.

My goal is to be finished and ready for beta readers (alpha readers, I suppose) by July 24th. It’s a Thursday.

Every detail here tastes delicious. The roundness of the level of completeness, the squareness of the goal and the date. My cousin is one of my best and oldest betas and she’s taking a long flight that Thursday, so that’s when I’ll finish.

Of course, I should be writing it now, instead of writing about writing it. Dangerous thing, that.
