Marsh/marshland – ideal

Bog – fabulous but not quite right

Quagmire – negative context

Mire – too victorian

Morass – what

Fen – Fenris? DA2 fanfiction, anyone?

Quag – See three

Sump – Sounds like what a swamp does?? Maybe?? Swamp, sumping about?

Swampland – This doesn’t count

Wetland – Yeah ok

Saltings – Lol

Quicksand – Ok time to go down another rabbit hole

Calling BS on the first search AI, I believe this second one.

Also, I’d just like to also say, I have faced both quicksand and being-on-fire much less often in my adult life than I thought I would as an eight year old.
