At first I thought The Strain, cuz I’m re-watching The Strain right now, have a super short attention span, and I really do enjoy it and I love how it ended. No time to bloat up, enough time to not die young. The final episode is frankly perfect in a way not many stories achieve, where it’s both thematically stellar and the only survivors are also our favorites.
Or you know, they ought to be. If they’re not, I actually kinda don’t like you, and your opinions on fictional characters are very nasty, and probably at least a little sexist.
Yet The Strain had its fair share of problems. Kind of most of the ones any other show has; or had. It’s still better than anything being made lately, though that is a rather low bar.
But then it fucking came to me, in a fit of sleep deprivation, I was up till four fucking AM last night and it was all my fault but also I wrote over 2k words within that time and FUCK yeah but also I’m tired but also
In a fucking surreal twist, it’s My Brother My Brother and Me.
MBMBaM has turned out to be it, folks. Fucking perfect finale. It’s exactly what was expected and needed. The show lasted barely a baby’s fart long, I loved every minute, I know they’re probably a problematic fave and I don’t care, that isn’t what we are talking about at this normal AM time when I have written a lot and I am so, so tired.
Their series finale was perfect.
